Terms Of Membership

The terms that appear below apply to those persons who become members of the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®. As used herein, the terms “we” and “our” shall refer to the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®. The terms “you” and “your” shall refer to those who choose to become members.

1) If you choose to become a member of the Florida League of Republican Voters®, you agree to abide by the Terms of Membership.

2) When necessary, we may pause, modify, or discontinue certain membership services without prior notice or liability.

3) Except as provided in number nine (9) below, membership in the Florida League of Republican Voters® is open to any registered Republican of good moral character residing in the State of Florida.

4)  All voting rights regarding the operation and management of the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®, are vested exclusively with the Board of Directors of each organization.

5) The Florida League of Republican Voters®, its Local Chapters, and County Caucuses may, from time to time, conduct or sponsor meetings, forums, conferences, seminars, and other events for the benefit of their members and invitees. The Florida League of Republican Voters®, its Local Chapters and County Caucuses reserve the right to exclude, at their sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, any person or group of persons from these events.

6) When acting in your capacity as a member, or when acting in your capacity as an officer or director of the League of Republican Voters Inc., or of its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters® or as a member, officer or director of any Local Chapter or County Caucus, you agree to obey all local, state and federal laws including those laws governing campaign finance, political advertising and express advocacy.

7) As a member, you agree to indemnify, defend, save, and hold harmless the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®, from any claim for damages arising out of your material breach of the Terms of Membership.

8) It shall be the policy of the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®, to work cooperatively with its members in resolving any internal dispute that may arise. Should an attempt at resolving a dispute be unsuccessful, and should legal action be brought for that or for any other reason, the Circuit Court of Florida’s 4th Judicial Circuit in Duval County, Florida, shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Any dispute that results in legal action shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

9) Persons who are serving as members of the State Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Florida, or who have served as an elected member of the Republican Party of Florida’s Executive Board within the past five (5) years, are not eligible for membership except by waiver.

10) All membership applications are accepted on a contingent basis and may be rejected, along with a refund of annual dues, at the sole discretion of the Florida League of Republican Voters® or a Local Chapter or County Caucus at any time within forty-five (45) days of submission.

11) You may terminate your membership in the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®, at any time by emailing admin@FLORV.org. Your membership will end only after you receive confirmation that your email has been received. The termination of your membership, however, will not affect our retention of your personal information contained in any database belonging to the League of Republican Voters, Inc. and its state chapter, the Florida League of Republican Voters®.
